Firewalk Boot Camp by John Calub: Is it real?

Do you want to become rich this 2010? Do you want to pursue anything you want this year? If you really do, well you should try this seminar called Firewalk Boot Camp by John Calub.

The objective of the seminar is to trigger yourself to do something that will enhance or increase your self -consciousness and motivation. Walking on fire is one of the main activities of the seminar; you must walk on burning charcoals using your feet. Sounds dangerous?
Nope. Because walking on burning coals has a scientific explanation. It will really not hurt you or burn your feet because it is not that really hot. Google it for more information.

But for me, this seminar is just a waste of time and money. Because if you really want to achieve something and you are fully motivated, you must work for it very hard. Don’t just attend a seminar that will cost you a lot just to increase your motivation. No offense but I think, that was a kalokohan! Pure kalokohan!
But if you really want to try this and willing to pay a lot, you can catch them here: www.firewalkphilippines.com

  1. Yeah, I saw it on TV they were featured at Jessica Soho's show and then they ask medical experts why their feet was not burned and true enough it's not as hot as we think. Even the bending of the metal is also possible but very unsafe for the participants. I don't see the reason why a person would spend Php15K over a seminar like that to keep you motivated. I think I'd rather spend 15K to buy goods and re-sell it kikita ka pa.

  2. Ang mahal naman talaga ng seminar! But then if it will yield some really positive results than trying to start on your own at malugi din naman diba? Perhaps what they're trying to accomplish here is to really give the person the drive, the determination kasi malaki laki ang puhunan (puhunan mo kasi ang determinasyon at pagovercome ng takot mo) it's like nag spend ka na ng 15k, umapak ka na sa bubog and all, you simply can't fail anymore! Yung ganung feeling.

  8. Guys I'm attending Trace Trajano's free webinar w/ John Calub at this very moment!

Although this seminar is being hosted remotely, we did exercises about releasing negative beliefs. Yeah, he's inviting people to 15k-worth seminar. John seems sure of what he's saying and he doesn't sound preachy. But so far, everything sounds like the Law of Attraction. Right now, he's swapping with the attendees. It's all about releasing negative beliefs and projecting the right ones so that in the future, we'll see things as opportunities and we'll act on them.

I've read The Secret, Follow Your Heart and Bo Sanchez' Truly Rich Club newsletters -- they're all about attracting abundance and letting go of negative beliefs. Maybe if we can't attend the seminar, let's just buy books and read up. I guess the message is take responsibility of all that's happening to us and start expecting the good stuff that's bound to come our way.

  9. hello people who doubt the seminar. i have attended the firewalk, and it is neither a waste of time nor money. im sad for you guys you think that way, but john calub is an awsome gift to mankind. You have no idea what you guys are missing.

  10. exactly, anonymous post on oct 30. At sa walang pang pangbayad enrich your mind with books, mentors, and experience. negativity only bores a hole in your pocket but learning is priceless!

  11. Gaining wisdom is priceless... 15k is a paltry sum compared to being able to overcome fear, and strengthen the determination.

By the way, please understand JOHN CALUB teach seminars not to make people RICH but to help them become WEALTHY.

  12. John Calub is raking in 15k from every naive bloke who goes to his seminars, so do the math, how much he is getting from his seminars? The only success story is John Calub. So don't jump into this bandwagon.

The issue that he's tackling in his seminars is just MONEY MANAGEMENT, and that's not a difficult task for anyone. Get a legit accountant to do that for you OR, try not to buy stuff that has no importance in your life.

Don't go into a seminar in which simple issues like OVERSPENDING and MONEY MANAGEMENT can be fixed with simple COMMON SENSE.

  14. john calub is magnanimous because he got PROOF & HARD EVIDENCE vs just sheer speculations without seeing it for themselves which comes from a scarcity mentality/negativity (nothing good can come out of something new even if it has produced results for other people) or crab mentality?

fyi - there's so many things hidden to common people because of several reasons like politics, vested interests i.e. pinoy discoveries sold to investors because our own government can fund such research?! - it's a revelation or an explanation of our cultural/educational programming, would you want to stay where you are financially or would you rather do something in order to help & uplift others?

wait until 1 person at a time is converted and i think philippines will have bigger hope to establish its lost glory as a nation, mind you, this is REVOLUTIONARY

  15. I, literally, don't have money.. If you don't believe, its up to you.
    I live in Cebu.
The Firewalk bootcamp of John Calub will be held in Tagaytay for 3 days.

35k registration + airfare ticket from Cebu to Manila/Tagaytay for me is very very very much expensive..

    But you know what?

I am really very very very much interested to attend the said bootcamp. After reading all of this in the internet, I know and I trust, that after the said boot camp, a load of opportunities will come my way and I know it won't take long for me to uplift my family's financial situation.

I am literally poor and living in a depressed area, but with my goals in mind, I will try my best to secure the money I need to attend this seminar.

...I will definitely do my best and I know God will do the rest.

  16. People find it difficult to go to church and believe in God. They find it difficult to work hard and change the way they think about work and about life.

But it is easy for them to go to a lotto outlet and try their luck. It is easy for them to try their lot in a firewalking seminar though scientific evidence will tell them that (1) there is nothing paranormal to it and (2) Ninety four percent who experienced firewalk stay broke.

You can improve confidence by doing any extreme sports, activities more difficult and death defying than firewalking. But real confidence must come from inside. What do you believe in? What do want to achieve?

The bible says, "seek ye first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and all of this things shall be given unto you". You do not need to walk on fire. Well, Peter walked on water. Maybe you should try that.

Jim Collins suggested that you define your bhag. For me, what is important is to find my purpose in life, and when I found it, I will put all my attention to it. That I think is real success.

It amazes me how some Christians rely on tricks and not on faith. It amazes me how some intelligent people allow other people to think for them.

I think Warren Buffet and Bill Gates will still be wealthy with or without the Firewalk. I think mother Teresa did not walk on fire although she lived in India. I think what Filipinos need to set on fire are not the coals they walk on, but the fire inside their heart called passion, dream, or purpose.

I wrote an article before which is aligned to what I am saying here. I encourage you to read - http://jefmenguin.com/?p=344

  17. Someone in this blog should leave REAL PROOF if John's stuff is for real or not. In my own opinion, what he's saying probably has been said by some other guy before him. If I only know what it is, I'll just downloaded some those tutorials. That'll save me the burden of worrying about blowing 35k away.

  18. To the guy who posted last February 10, If you are very very poor, why blow away 35k?

  20. to the poster last March 3:

From what I got from somewhere, John Calub was a student from the guy who made "Chicken Soup for the Soul". That person (his name is Canfield or something) teaches seminars on the "Secret Law of Attraction". One of the prime keywords that John said in his video and the free pdf book,is that the secret to attract people is to "sell them what they really want." In short, you have to simply "bait" them.

John Calub is actually just doing that, making seminars to people who "wants to get rich", and "getting rich" is what these people wants to hear. So he's actually practicing what he learned from Canfield, enticing these people to hear his seminars and getting money from it. Clever of him.

In my opinion, you don't have to go to John's seminars, but its your choice if you want to go. To me, I'd rather get some free material off the web that can explain the same topics freely. Also, I don't think there is an easy way to be wealthy. All you need is determination, confidence, and knowledge of the playing field. John is a good speaker, and he used that strength to entice people to go to his seminars, and to profit from it.

To me those who saw his method to entice people to come to his seminar, already knows what his entire seminar really is.

  21. John's firewalk bootcamp seminar is worth more than it costs.
I have witnessed all of his seminars. i must say, it is only john who can sustain high energy of thousands of attendees from 9am - 6pm, probably because of how he mixes substance and humor in his seminars. for the record, he is not requiring anyone who attended his seminar to buy anything AND he is not JUST TALK, he is a living proof that what he teaches really works. i have to disagree with "don't just attend a seminar that will cost you a lot JUST to increase your motivation". Instead, look at it as an Investment.

mukhang lumaganap na sa offline rin.Gamitin nyo ang "GOOGLE" to gain knowledge for "FREE".Doon kayo makinig sa mga successful businessman like in online marami rin nagpapanggap na sila ay guru or mentor what they do post some motivational quotes sa wall
yumayaman ba si john calub sa traditional business nya or yumayaman lang cya dahil sa mga trainings like robert kiyosaki
is he really earn millions in real estates or he just get rich in his books.

Ang sabi "Never ever seek advice to a poor person about getting rich. Anong alam niya sa pag yaman. Kung gusto mong yumaman mag tanong ka sa mayayaman." And problem lang satin minsan ayaw natin ishare ang naging KEYS natin bakit tayo naging successful.

  24. A few comments back said "he is dirt poor, but determined to go to Calub's seminar." I think he got it - keep up that desire, and he'll make it. He reminds me of myself. I live in LA and used to work for a fabrics company as a kargador! (And you thought all pinoys from the US are rich!) My desire was to finish college (which I paid for myself), get gainful employment, then somewhere I planned on getting rich and put a time to achieve it. Made my first $200k last year doing real estate in a very bad US real estate market! But I am attending a John Calub seminar. True, I can afford it like cheeseburger - but I open my mind on learning new things, being positive and allow myself to learn to further attract more money. I don't want to retire to PHL when I am 65, I will do it in 3 years! So going back to Mr. Dirt Poor guy from Cebu a few comments back, don't give up - keep that desire. If the seminar is what you want to do for now, then aim for it. If wealth is what you want, go for it. Feel the money as if you have it. You've got to Fake it till you make it - put in your mind that you will REALLY make it. I'm all for positivsm, its free and leaves you no stress!

  29. I'm attending one of his training this September. At first I'm reluctant to spend to this kind of seminar. After reading reviews, positive and negative. In the end we are the one to decide if we want change. Yeah it's not right to call this *kalokohan" unless you tried it. Why not see for yourself?

  30. i am also for positivism. for the negative people out there, it has been said that what you think, you attract. your choice.

si john calub, one proof ng success nya is his lifestyle na makikita mo naman hindi lang sa income nya pati rin sa material possesions nya like his BMWs. so for those na hindi pa kayang pantayan yun, i suggest u open ur minds so that u may actually learn a thing or two. :)

  31. For those who want to make money like john calub, heres what you do:

First - attend the seminar and soak in all that you can amd take detailed notes

next, get the material, reword some of the terms and jumble up the prohram a bit

And last, start your own seminar biz and sell ot halft the price.

He is doing exactly the same thing with jack canfield material

I became more confident, vocal, patient, helpful etc.. His seminars sparked my hunger for knowledge and to further improve myself in all areas. :)

    ReplyDelete
  36. Anonymous, SIYEMPRE sasabihin mo na di ka nanghinayang sa binayad mo JUST to get out of the bitterness na napakamahal ang seminar na yan. WIth that Salary he/she is not mayaman, just enough to get by. 60k is barya for rich people.

Kapatid ko nag attend din sa seminar hoping na it could help him kasi sampung taon na siyang BUM at 35 years old na siya. palamunin parin sa bahay. Walang nangyari sa kanya at walang trabaho. Nakapagtapos na KAMI at siya hindi pa. Gusto kasi niya parating EASY MONEY. Its just a matter of applying the law of attraction in your daily life just by practicing on shifting negative to positive energy in each day of your life then more positive things will come to you. And you will achieve your deepest desires.

JOHN CALUB WAS NEVER AN APPRENTICE OF JACK CANFIELD!! FILIPINOS ARE SO GULLIBLE! NAGPAKITA LANG SIYA NG PICTURE KASAMA SI JACK CAFIELD NANIWALA NAMAN KAYONG LAHAT NA NAGING APPRENTICE SIYA.

AT YUNG SINASABI NIYANG BOOK BY CHARLES HAANEL AY AVAILABLE SA FULLYBOOKED KAKABILI KO LANG 300 PESOS LANG.

TO ALL THOSE WHO INVESTED ON HIS SEMINAR, SORRY BUT YOU JUST GOT SCAMMED!

  37. It's extremely funny how most of the people trying to defend John Calub are giving in to negative comments and responding in kind to the people who really doesn't give a shit.

Let's face it, most of the ideas that some of the so-called gurus here in the Philippines were derived from the teachings of gurus in other countries. While there is nothing wrong with that, it might be better for all of us just to get it directly from the source :)

  38. to anonymous november 19.. first of all with regard to your brother's plight, it is not the seminar or the speaker's fault why je is still a bum even after atending john's seminar.. he is a bum bcause he refused to act on the supposed knowledge that he was supposed to have gained from that seminar.. and second, check your facts before harping on non-sense.. John was indeed a student of Mr. Canfield as evidenced by the interview he conducted with Jack Canfield himself and Mr Canfield's acknowledgement of John Calub's great mission of teaching filipinos the proper mind-set.. Check your facts

    1. You idiot. Jack Canfield has many attendees sa seminar nya. He wouldn't know if Calub was really an attendee.

True it's not the speakers fault if di mayaman ang isang tao. But in this case, it's John Calub's fault kasi yung promotional materials nya all points to easy money.

  42. John Calub is a con-artist. People, especially the mass who subscribes to get rich quick schemes (unfortunately a lot, LIKE A LOT) sees John Calub as their savior who speaks the gospel truth about becoming rich. What they don't see is he is galvanizing on their hopes and dreams and is the only one who is becoming richer by upselling and cross selling more seminars and forex courses. He even commands you to guive your money to IRONFX, which, if you make a quick search online shows you that it is a scam company as well.

  43. I have heard about this John Calub. My cousin was tricked into paying an additional 6,000 so he can attend his forex classes, which were taught by bums, literally, with no financial background, claiming to have made it big in forex. And then afterwards, at this time you are so deluded with the thought of becoming rich quick and recuperating your expenses, you are bombarded by calls and e-mails from IronFX Filipino representatives to put your money in forex, of course you do, because that's the reason you took up the 6k forex class in the first place. To learn to trade and make millions. And, of course you lose all your $500 with IronFX. They even keep you from withdrawing your money. They even offer you all these bonuses exclusive to John Calub students. It's all a masquerade. It's all bullshit. I received an e-mail from IronFX representative, Kristalene Rivera persuading me to deposit. I have since blocked her into my spam. Bottom line, don't be fooled by the hype. Listen to people not from his camp. Don't be brain washed!
